About Me:
am an information designer, working in the field of technical communications with over 25 years of experience in the production of cross-media, multilingual technical information products. I have expertise in single sourcing, component content management, collaborative authoring, and localization.

During my career I have worked with some of the best, cutting-edge hardware and software teams in the fields of medical robotics, pharmaceutical sciences, aerospace technology, virtual reality, and information processing & presentation; and was fortunate enough to help organize the Third World Wide Web Conference in Darmstadt (April 10-14 1995).

I also have extensive knowledge and a good understanding of the current e-learning and social network technologies; an appreciation of the impact these technologies are having on the Public and Corporate Education sectors; and the opportunities for creative products this presents.

I am currently studying towards a Masters in Online and Distance Learning to fulfill my ambition to work in the field of ICT for Development.

Thousands of tech newbies needed to plug skills gap

The good news is the UK's IT & telecoms sector is thriving. The bad news is 140,000 newbies are likely to be needed annually to satisfy the industry's demand for increasingly skilled staff.
